These new sealapack simply steam bags will assist you in preparing crispy tender vegetables and succulent meats, poultries and fish without pots and pans - ' Simply steam' instead.
Simply steam bags use a combination of a micewave and pressure steaming process which ensures rapid and thorough cooking of a wide variety of foods.
The bags are available in three sizes - Small (1-2 servings), Medium (3-4 servings), Large (5 servings).
Directions for use: Cut food into similar sizes piece, this helps to ensue even cooking. Place your food in the bag, adding seasoning or butter if you wish. DO NOT ADD WATER.
REMOVE THE PEEL STRIP ON THE BAG, FLAP, FOLD OVER AND SEAL MAKING SURE THAT THE FLAP IS ATLEAST 3CM. THIS FORMS A PRESSURE REGULATED CLOSURE.
Place the bag flat on a microwave dish or plate. Use cooking times printed on the wrapper or your microwave instructions.
After the desired time let the bag stand for 60 seconds to allow the steam pressure to escape. Do not try to move or touch the bag during this time as the escaping steam is very hot.
Remove the dish or plate from the microwave making sure the bag opening is at the top. Water may be present at this stage which should be carefully poured off before serving.
Helpful Tips: Cut food into roughly equal size oieces, especially if mixing food types, after filling bags, pat ingredients into a single layer.
